Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites a Senior Substation Engineer to join our project team focused on high voltage substation projects. You will lead conceptualization, planning, and execution while addressing complex electrical engineering challenges and client expectations.

The role requires a BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 5+ years in MV power systems design. Collaboration across teams and potential client travel are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years designing Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within budgets and deadlines.
• Experience tracking schedules, expenditures, status reports, and client interfaces.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings and proficiency with MS Office.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, speak, and write).

Responsibilities

• Participate in project conceptualization, planning, and execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare clear reports meeting client requirements and company formats.
• Share knowledge through Communities of Practice to grow skills.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
