Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is hiring a Senior Substation Engineer to join a project team focused on detailed electrical design and project management for high voltage substations. You will take an active role in concept development, planning, and execution, while solving complex engineering challenges and preparing client-ready reports.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with 7+ years in MV power systems design, strong communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Minimum 7+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information: schedules, expenditures, status reports, client interface.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information clearly and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop your career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• You may have the opportunity to travel to client sites as needed.
