Job summary

INS Engineering is seeking an experienced Lead Substation Engineer for a remote role based in the United States. You will own technical design, coordinate physical, P&C and civil interfaces, and mentor distributed teams while partnering with project managers on scope, schedules and budgets.

You will lead physical substation layouts, bus configurations, grounding calculations and related engineering deliverables, while ensuring QA/QC across concurrent projects and representing engineering in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a PE license; hands-on design in physical substation design and P&C.
• Recent high-voltage substation design experience (12–500 kV).
• Ability to lead design, coordinate interfaces and mentor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical substation design including layouts, elevations and equipment specs.
• Lead protection and control design and review diagrams (P&C).
• Deliver multi-project engineering work with QA/QC and cross-discipline coordination.
