Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Subrogation Team Lead to drive recovery efforts across multiple jurisdictions and lines of business. You will lead a team of associates, authorize payments within delegated authority, and guide complex subrogation cases in collaboration with clients and counsel.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with accountability for training, audits, and performance reviews. Travel may be required as part of oversight and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
• Six (6) years of claims experience or equivalent.
• Technical knowledge of recovery requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Analytical and interpretive skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads the recovery team pursuing subrogation recoveries across jurisdictions and lines of business.
• Authorizes payment of bills within delegated authority.
• Guides colleagues on handling subrogation counsel for high-complexity cases and escalations.
• Schedules client file reviews and participates in discussions of subrogation resolution.
• Provides guidance on claim payments and conducts audits to ensure guideline adherence.
• Oversees preparation of client status reports and supports cost containment strategies.
• Leads team training and development initiatives and supervises staff performance.
