Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. seeks a senior contracts professional to develop subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms for government and commercial procurements.

You will prepare bid packages, analyze proposals, negotiate subcontracts, and administer resulting agreements. You will also coordinate with contract administration and purchasing, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and manage risk while guiding a team of professionals in pursuit of company

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 11+ years of progressively complex experience in contracts.
• Detailed knowledge of government/commercial contract/subcontract administration principles and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR supplements and UCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to management and program managers on procurement issues relating to government and commercial subcontracts.
• Interpret and execute subcontract policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with laws and company objectives.
• Coordinate work assignments, review work and provide direction to staff while ensuring subcontract processes meet timelines.
• Review confidentiality agreements, license agreements and other documentation for conformance to business objectives and compliance to laws.
• Influence subcontract portion of proposal preparation and participate in evaluation of bids and source selections.
• Act as primary contact for subcontract activities and issues and coordinate with government representatives and suppliers.
