Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a Subcontract Specialist to provide support to multiple business units.

You will manage source evaluation, selection, terms and conditions for procurements, issue awards, and administer subcontracts in line with company policy and SOPs. The role requires a bachelor's degree in business administration with a supply chain/contract focus and 6+ years of relevant experience; SAP knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of procurement/contract administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of acquisition principles, theories and concepts.
• Customer focused with ability to develop solutions to complex problems and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, analyzes and evaluates bids and proposals for policy compliance.
• Identifies subcontract issues and develops solutions.
• Negotiates and modifies standard and non-standard contract terms.
• Reviews and negotiates NDAs and teaming agreements.
• Advises management on contractual rights and obligations.
• Represents the organization on subcontracts and may present findings.
• Maintains records and stays updated on regulatory changes including exports.
• May participate in staff development and travel as required.
