Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking a contracts professional to develop subcontract specifications, negotiate terms, and administer subcontracts for government and commercial contracts.

You will advise management on procurement issues, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and coordinate with purchasing, contracts, and program managers to meet objectives. You may lead staff and travel as required to support programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field with 11+ years of progressive contracts experience.
• Deep knowledge of FAR, FAR supplements, and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
• Ability to resolve complex problems and interface with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on procurement issues for government and commercial subcontracts.
• Interpret and execute subcontract policies to ensure efficiency and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate work assignments, review work and provide direction to staff while meeting timelines.
• Review confidentiality agreements, license agreements and other documentation for conformance to business objectives and laws.
• Influence subcontracts portion of proposal preparation and participate in evaluations.
• Act as primary contact for subcontracts activities and issues.
