Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of progressive experience in contracts and purchasing.
Extensive knowledge of FAR, FAR supplements, and UCC.
Experience negotiating complex purchases and subcontracts.

Responsibilities

Review and approve complex high-dollar purchase orders and subcontracts.
Establish and monitor compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
Assign tasks and provide direction to staff while ensuring timelines.
Manage supplier quotes and pricing as part of proposals/pricing inputs.
Oversee internal and external audits including government and customer audits.
Act as primary contact for purchasing activities and issues with customers and suppliers.
Coordinate purchasing with engineering and manufacturing.
Develop and retain procurement talent and maintain confidentiality.
