Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Subcontract Administrator in Paducah, KY to manage bid packages, negotiate terms, and oversee subcontract performance with a focus on compliance with FAR, DEAR, and project procedures.

The role requires a BA/BS in a related field with 5–8 years of experience, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail. DOE L clearance or ability to obtain is required. Office-based with potential site work and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination is required.
• Typical experience ranges from 5–8 years.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expert understanding of federal and state policies and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exemplary attention to detail.
• Maintains sensitivity to and reports on fraud, waste and abuse.
• DOE “L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE “L" clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare list of contractors to which RFPs may be submitted and compile RFP packages.
• Review bid tabulations and update contract scope, terms, and commercial provisions.
• Coordinate with disciplines to summarize bid proposals and seek project approvals.
• Conduct pre-award conferences with contractors and clients for mutual understanding.
• Award contracts via phone, telex, or letter and manage closeouts.
• Solicit awards and administer contracts per FAR/DEAR and project procedures.
• Prepare subcontract documents reflecting changes to scope and terms.
• Track deliverables and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• May relocate to job site to negotiate variances and monitor performance.
• Maintain safe work practices and participate in Safety Work Groups.
