Job summary

Sedgman GmbH is seeking a Senior Study Manager to lead studies from concept to feasibility in the Phoenix, AZ area. The role involves managing studies, budgets, schedules, and coordinating diverse consultants to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

You will prepare proposals, maintain client relationships, and support business development while bridging technical teams and stakeholders to convert studies into executable projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant field (Process, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil).
• Professional Engineering license is preferred/asset; additional certifications are a plus.
• 20+ years of experience in project study development, engineering, study delivery, and/or site operations in mining and mineral processing.
• 8+ years of continuous Study Leader experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and tenders with the aim of winning and converting to execution opportunities.
• Develop and deliver robust studies and tenders within budget, schedule and client expectations, achieving a commercial outcome.
• Build and coordinate a study team across departments and external consultants.
• Maintain professional client relationships with project representatives.
• Support Business and Project Development with technical inputs.
• Develop value-based business cases combining commercial concepts and technical knowledge.
• Ensure standard documents and processes are used consistently.
• Align study estimates and execution plans with commercial models and contracting strategies.
• Oversee handover of studies to next project phase (engineering, projects).
• Maintain client relationships and CRM updates (Salesforce) to identify new opportunities.
