Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Study Manager to lead mining studies in the Southwest USA, based in Chandler, AZ or Tucson, AZ. You will drive scoping, planning, and execution for complex mining projects with a distributed team across offices globally.

You will oversee risk management, value realization, and stage-gate processes, ensuring alignment with client objectives while mentoring a multi-disciplinary team to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineering license (PE) preferred.
• 10+ years of study/project and/or program management experience is expected.
• Direct study experience in mining or heavy industry is advantageous.
• MBA is an asset and may benefit broader business perspective.

Responsibilities

• Define study scope and execution plans with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Lead multi-office teams to meet defined objectives and schedules.
• Implement study management processes including risk, value management, and options evaluation.
• Deliver integrated studies on time and within budget across engineering, estimating, scheduling, and risk.
• Act as Technical lead and mentor, guiding project team and QA/QC of technical components.
• Assist the client in storytelling the study progress and outcomes.
