Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Study Manager to lead mining studies from our Southwest USA offices, Chandler or Tucson. You will guide multi‑discipline teams through stage gates, shaping study scope, planning, and execution while ensuring timely, within-budget delivery across global offices.

Successful candidates bring at least 10 years in study/project management, engineering credentials, and strong leadership with excellent communication and risk management skills. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant study/project or program management experience.
• Direct study experience in mining or heavy industry is advantageous.
• MBA is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal liaison between Stantec and the client for mining studies.
• Drive scope definition, planning, and execution for each study.
• Implement study management processes including risk and value management.
• Deliver integrated studies on time and within budget across multiple offices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor project team members.
