Trinity College in Hartford, CT seeks a Sr Student Accounts & Loans Specialist to administer and reconcile institutional loan programs while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies. Reporting to the Manager of Student Accounts and Loans, the SrStudent Accounts & Loans Specialist is responsible for theadministration and reconciliation of Trinity’s Institutional loanprograms. This position ensures the accurate processing of loantransactions, compliance with federal regulations and institutionalpolicies, and provides exceptional customer service to students,families, and campus partners.
The Sr Student Accounts & Loans Specialist is responsible formonitoring delinquent institutional loan accounts, coordinatingcollection activities with third-party agencies, assisting withpreparation of federal reporting and tax documentation (includingForms 1042-S and 1098-T), and reconciling student account activityto ensure financial accuracy.
This position assists the Student Accounts Manager in overseeingbilling, account maintenance, and customer service for all programsincluding Graduate, Individual Degree Program (IDP) andNon-Matriculated Students, Study Away, and Undergraduate Studentaccount operations. In addition, the Assistant Manager assists withpreparation of audit documentation, reconciliations, and reports insupport of Accounting Services and participates in departmentalinitiatives to improve operational efficiency and regulatorycompliance.
