Job summary

  • Support visiting faculty through staffing searches and onboarding.
  • Assist visiting scholars and coordinate with the New University in Exile Consortium.
  • Monitor budget expenditures, payments, and reimbursements.
  • Serve as building manager for 70 Vernon Street and order supplies.
  • Oversee student research grants and fellowships and advise on projects.
  • Promote graduate programs and certificates in urban planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Supports director in representing Trinity and the Center for Urbanand Global Studies (CUGS) to constituents within and outside of thecollege and in creating direction and goals for the center; alsosupports graduate studies in urban planning.



Responsibilities


  • Support director in representing Trinity and CUGS toconstituents within and outside of the college and in creatingdirection and goals for the center

  • Manage communications, including maintaining website, writingblogs, managing social media, and editing newsletter.

  • Plan, advertise, and host meetings, workshops, andconferences.
    Supervise student workers as research and communicationsassistants.

  • Assist CUGS visiting faculty through staffing searches,onboarding new visiting faculty, and ongoing support of visitingfaculty.

  • Support the IIE-SRF Visiting Scholar(s) in acclimating to lifeand work in the U.S. and assist the director in coordinating withthe New University in Exile Consortium.

  • Monitor budget expenditures, process payments andreimbursements.

  • Serve as building manager for 70 Vernon Street, includingsubmitting work requests and ordering supplies.

  • Manage student research grants and fellowships program of CUGS,including overseeing the application process, advising students onprojects and presentations, coordinating and serving on selectioncommittees, and managing the administration of grants.

  • Assist in the promotion and programming of the graduateprogram/graduate certificate in urban planning.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned and based ondepartmental need.
