Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute a strategic plan for young alumniengagement, including regional events, digital programming, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Create intentional pathways that connect student philanthropy experiences to post-graduate giving and future leadership donor potential.
  • Manage reunion committees for the 5th and 10th reunion cycles, including thoughtful engagement between the first year out and up to the 10th reunion class.
  • Build a culture of giving among students through education, storytelling, and meaningful engagement opportunities leading all student-facing fundraising initiatives, including senior class gift campaigns and class-based philanthropy efforts.
  • Manage a portfolio of young alumni leadership annual giving prospects (typically within the last 10 years), with a focus on qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Plan and execute student- and young alumni-focused events, including on-campus programs, milestone celebrations, and regional gatherings.
  • Collaborate with Director, Advancement Communications, and the central Marketing and Communications department on a communications strategy, including social media, email campaigns, and storytelling efforts targeting students and young alumni.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.

The Associate Director, Student & Young Alumni Engagement andPhilanthropy plays a critical role in advancing Trinity College’salumni engagement and annual giving priorities by building alifelong culture of connection and philanthropy among students andyoung alumni (graduates of the last 10 years).

This position executes and contributes to a comprehensive studentengagement and philanthropy strategy aligned with Advancement andinstitutional priorities. In addition, the Associate Directormanages a portfolio of young alumni leadership annual givingprospects, cultivating and soliciting donors to support Trinity’sannual priorities while building a strong pipeline for future majorgiving.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years of relevant work experience or specialized trainingthat can be used in lieu of education requirement
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with theability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with student philanthropy programs or young alumniengagement strategies
  • Demonstrated success in volunteer management and/orpeer-to-peer fundraising
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Slate preferred) and dataanalysis
  • Experience creating engaging content for digital platforms(social media, email, etc.)
  • Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for buildingnew programs
