Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Senior Structural Managing Engineer to lead diverse water resources projects including dams, hydropower, fisheries, and flood control. You will manage client relationships, guide feasibility to commissioning, and mentor teams in an employee-owned environment.

Required: Civil/Structural engineering degree, 18+ years in civil/hydraulic engineering, PE registration (CA preferred). Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 18+ years of experience in civil and/or hydraulic engineering.
• Professional Engineering registration is required; California PE registration strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with water resource infrastructure and related codes/requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships and opportunities.
• Identify project opportunities, prepare proposals, and coordinate with Practice Leads and Ops managers.
• Lead multi-discipline teams on water resources projects from planning to commissioning.
• Monitor project performance, risks, scope, schedule, and budget; implement corrective actions.
• Design water infrastructure including dams, conveyance, treatment and stormwater systems.
• Prepare planning reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
