Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Structural Senior Engineering Technician for Advanced Power Generation. The role focuses on steel/foundation design, modeling, and detailing using OpenBuildings, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. You will guide other technicians and ensure quality across complex projects.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams on APG projects, contributing to technical solutions and design improvements while maintaining strong alignment with project goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required.
• Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
• Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline.
• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions.
• Uses CAD/CAM tools to create, modify, and maintain drawings and project deliverables.
• Provides guidance and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality and consistency.
