Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Structural Associate Engineering Technician for Advanced Power Generation in a hybrid role. You will support multidisciplinary teams, developing structural foundation and steel models, drawings, and details using Bentley OpenBuildings, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Tech preferred.
• Hybrid or flexible work options after 90 days may be offered.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering teams under general supervision.
• Performs technical tasks with intermediate engineering principles understanding.
• Uses digital tools and design software (CAD, BIM, 3D modeling).
• Creates, updates, and maintains technical documentation, drawings, and deliverables.
• Mentors junior engineering technicians.
• Stay current on BV standards, document control, and policies.
• Apply the BV Quality Program to ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize errors.
• Develop project deliverables based on diverse design inputs.
