Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Structural Staff Engineering Technician for Advanced Power Generation. The role focuses on creating and modifying structural foundations, steel models, and drawings using OpenBuildings, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.

Under supervision, you will support multidisciplinary teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure deliverables meet BV standards while collaborating across project outputs in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Experience with design tools and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

Create and modify structural delivery drawings and models.
Apply engineering principles to develop moderately complex concepts and deliverables.
Use CAD/BIM tools to generate technical documentation and drawings.
Provide guidance to other engineers and technicians to ensure quality outputs.
Adhere to BV standards, codes, and document control procedures.
Assist in project coordination and may supervise small work packages.
