Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years structural steel/misc. metals fabrication estimating experience
• Tekla PowerFab experience is required
• Proficient with estimating software and quantity takeoff tools
• Ability to analyze drawings and develop bid costs
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Estimate labor costs for fabrication, erection, and related tasks.
• Determine material costs by obtaining pricing from suppliers.
• Develop cost estimates and bids for materials, labor, equipment and other expenses.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to produce competitive bids.
• Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for favorable pricing and terms.
• Track project costs and ensure budget adherence throughout the lifecycle.
• Review project plans and specs to determine scope and material requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for steel, bolts, welds and other materials.
