Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Structural Steel Estimator to join our team in a fast-paced construction environment. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components, interpreting drawings and specifications to deliver accurate bids.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimator experience and proficiency in Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC, with strong analytical and communication skills. On-site position with solid growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience as a Structural Steel Estimator.
• Proficiency in Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC.
• Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings, specs, and related documents.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to present estimates clearly.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for structural steel components of construction projects.
• Reviewing and interpreting architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and other related documents.
• Utilizing software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC to develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Conducting risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and providing mitigation strategies.
• Presenting estimates to senior management and clients, explaining the basis of the costings and assumptions.
