Job summary

MK Consulting Group in Detroit is seeking an experienced steel construction estimator and project manager to prepare estimates and oversee projects from bid to final delivery. You will interpret RFQs, review bid documents, and ensure accurate proposals for complex steel builds.

Responsibilities include performing take-offs using Tekla EPM or Excel, coordinating with vendors and design professionals, and managing bids for small to large commercial construction projects with a focus on quality,

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret RFQs and bid documents.
• Experience performing take-offs from design drawings or contracts.
• Strong understanding of steel construction projects and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Reviews RFQs and bid documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Executes take-offs from design drawings and inputs into Tekla EPM or Excel templates.
• Coordinates with vendors, general contractors, architects and engineers on project bids.
• Plans, organizes and controls large steel construction projects from estimation through completion.
