Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer, SME for our Power Division. The role provides expert structural design leadership across substations, transmission, and renewable projects, with governance and mentorship.

This senior position emphasizes collaboration with electrical, civil, geotechnical, and project management teams, ensuring code compliance, constructability, and innovative solutions while supporting business development and client engagements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• 20+ years progressive structural engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the US and/or Canada.
• Experience with structural design for power infrastructure (substations, transmission, wind, solar).
• Proficiency with major structural analysis/design software.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel periodically.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the technical authority for structural engineering design and analysis across Power Division projects.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review and oversee structural deliverables for accuracy, quality, and code compliance.
• Lead structural design of steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation systems for substations and transmission facilities.
• Perform seismic analyses, wind load evaluations, and equipment support structure design.
