Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior/Lead Structural Engineer to join our Power team. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.

The successful candidate will lead structural design efforts, supervise engineers, and ensure project timelines and budgets are met. Required qualifications include 10+ years in structural engineering for power/utility projects, a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, and a California PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Professional engineer licensed in California (USA) required.
• 10+ years experience in structural engineering for power/utility projects.
• Experience with transmission station structures and 115 kV+ lines preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of engineers in the Power sector on projects.
• Coordinate design with discipline leads, PMs, vendors, contractors, and clients.
• Maintain project timelines and budgets; monitor progress and report status.
• Prepare and verify drawings, calculations, and procurement deliverables.
• Assist in procurement activities and supplier bid reviews.
• Travel as needed for project execution.
