Job summary

DeSimone Consulting Engineering, a global structural engineering firm, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead structural design projects from concept to construction.

You'll supervise teams, coordinate with clients and architects, manage budgets and schedules, and develop innovative solutions while upholding codes and standards. PE license and 12+ years of experience are required; master's preferred, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with 12+ years of experience.
• Master's degree with 10+ years of experience acceptable.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Extensive experience with STAAD.Pro, RAM, ABAQUS, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Oversee design and analysis of structural systems using industry-standard software.
• Mentor engineers, BIM technicians, and project team members.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate structural designs with clients, architects, contractors, municipal agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and construction documents; ensure alignment with design intent.
• Monitor project schedules, staffing, resources, and budgets; address challenges.
• Develop creative engineering solutions and lead complex problem-solving efforts.
