DeSimone Consulting Engineering in New Haven, CT, seeks a Project Engineer to support structural design from concept through construction. You will work hands-on with design tools, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and grow your technical expertise while learning project management fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Structural or Civil Engineering with relevant design/analysis experience.
• Five years of experience in design and analysis of mid to high rise buildings is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis using Revit, Rhino, ETABS and SAP.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and design deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, and design team members for design alignment.
• Conduct field observations and inspections under guidance of senior engineers.
• Maintain records of design decisions, calculations and project docs.
• Contribute to project planning and scheduling discussions with project managers.
• Apply knowledge of codes and materials to develop design solutions.
