Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Engineer - Structure in Philadelphia, PA to lead structural design and project execution from concept through construction.

You will coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers, develop drawings with BIM tools, review submittals, and mentor junior staff while ensuring quality and schedule adherence on complex projects. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in structural/civil/architecture or related field.
• Two years of experience in structural engineering with familiarity in analysis software and BIM tools.
• Ability to prepare structural calculations and drawings for schematic design through construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and coordinates with clients and consultants to ensure clear understanding of project goals.
• Interacts with clients and team members regarding project information and progress.
• Coordinates and guides preparation of construction documents with BIM staff and internal QA.
• Mentors other engineers on design techniques, codes, and software.
• Performs site observations, prepares field reports, and reviews submittals and RFIs.
