Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Senior Associate in its Structural Practice to lead complex building projects, guide client strategy, and drive technical excellence. You’ll mentor teams, shape project direction, and advance firm growth through high-level engagements.

You will partner with major clients, set project direction, and contribute to business development while expanding the firm’s market presence and thought leadership on innovative structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience leading complex building projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision of large or complex building projects.
• Serve as the primary client partner and build trusted relationships.
• Lead and grow high-performing teams across multiple staff.
• Drive new business and market presence through proposal development and industry engagement.
• Shape firm strategy and advise senior leadership on opportunities and trends.
• Grow client-facing presence and expand into new opportunities.
