Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Lead Structural Engineer to guide a team of engineers, interface with clients, and manage a variety of projects in industrial, heavy commercial, and nuclear facilities.

You will apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design, and oversee design calculations, reports, and drawings while mentoring colleagues and coordinating field verification during site visits.

Qualifications

• BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ten or more years of experience in design and analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of structural engineers and interface with clients and other disciplines.
• Direct preparation and review of design calculations, specifications, reports, and other deliverables; support drawing development.
• Supervise and mentor others in developing quality engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
