Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, seeks a Senior Engineer to advance wood truss designs and structural solutions for customers. You will lead complex analyses, review designs, and provide technical guidance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, PE eligibility or licensure, and experience in truss design and building codes. Travel about 10% and office-based work are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with statics, strength of materials, structural design coursework.
• PE license required or eligible with company support for licensure.
• Experience with wood truss design, components, and framing layouts.
• Knowledge of building codes and design standards relevant to structural engineering.
• Ability to interpret roof/framing layouts and develop compliant configurations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for customer-facing and team work.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex structural solutions using wood trusses and Alpine's software.
• Partner with customers to evaluate layouts, loads, and design options.
• Review and validate engineering designs for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and support to engineers and designers.
• Support field visits and investigations to assess structural performance.
• Collaborate with Alpine's software team to improve design tools.
