Job summary

Alpine, an ITW Company, is seeking a Senior Engineer with strong structural engineering expertise to design and analyze wood truss systems and related framing solutions for customers in the building components industry.

You will partner with clients to solve complex challenges, review designs for accuracy and compliance, and provide technical leadership to the engineering team while supporting field and software development needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coursework in statics, strength of materials, structural analysis and design.
• Professional Engineer license required or the ability to obtain with company support.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex structural solutions by designing and analyzing wood trusses, framing systems, repairs, and components using engineering principles and Alpine's software.
• Partner with customers to solve technical challenges, evaluate framing layouts, calculate loads, support plan takeoffs, and identify safe, cost-effective designs.
• Review and validate engineering designs for accuracy, compliance with codes, specifications, and design principles.
• Provide technical leadership by reviewing work, answering design questions, and supporting training for engineers and designers.
• Support field and product-related engineering needs, including occasional site inspections and investigations.
