Job summary

Alpine, an ITW Company, seeks a Senior Engineer to design and analyze wood truss solutions, guiding engineers and reviewing complex designs. You will help ensure safety and economical framing systems while collaborating with customers and colleagues.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and knowledge of building codes, with opportunities to influence software tools and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and related coursework.
• 3+ years with PE license or 10+ years without PE, eligible for licensure with company support.
• Experience with truss design and drafting techniques; knowledge of codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex structural solutions by designing and analyzing wood trusses and framing systems.
• Evaluate framing layouts, loads, takeoffs, and cost‑effective designs.
• Review and validate engineering designs for accuracy and code compliance.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and designers and support training.
• Support field needs, including occasional site inspections and inspections.
• Collaborate with software team to enhance Alpine's engineering software.
