Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, seeks a Structural Engineer to lead final truss design reviews and ensure compliance with building codes for wood systems across multiple jurisdictions. You will mentor engineers, drive design standards, and collaborate across teams in a high-volume production environment.

The role requires an SE license or PE pursuing SE, a Civil Engineering degree with structural emphasis, and strong knowledge of IBC/IRC, with travel to office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred).
• Active Structural Engineer (SE) license or PE pursuing SE license within defined timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and code-based design.
• Working knowledge of IBC/IRC and related standards.
• Willingness to travel to office locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform final engineering review and seal (stamp) truss designs for code compliance.
• Evaluate load paths, connection integrity, and overall stability of structural systems.
• Review and approve work from engineers, designers, and technicians for technical accuracy.
• Provide guidance on non-standard conditions and mentor engineering staff.
• Support stakeholders by resolving design questions and project-specific requirements.
• Improve engineering standards, practices, and tools through cross-team collaboration.
