Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead final design reviews and seal engineered wood truss designs for compliance with building codes. This role requires strong structural analysis knowledge and the ability to mentor staff across multiple teams.

You will evaluate load paths, review design work, and travel to office locations as needed in a high-volume production environment. The position emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and delivering safe, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, structural emphasis preferred.
• Active Structural Engineer license, or PE pursuing SE license within defined timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, load paths, and connection design.
• Familiarity with IBC/IRC building codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform final engineering review and seal (stamp) truss designs to ensure code compliance.
• Evaluate structural systems for load paths, connections, and stability.
• Review and approve work from engineers, designers, and technicians for technical accuracy.
• Provide guidance on non-standard conditions and mentor engineering staff.
• Support stakeholders by resolving design questions and project-specific requirements.
• Improve engineering standards, best practices, and tools through cross-team collaboration.
