Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer focused on industrial water projects. You will design complex structures for water treatment facilities, lead a team of engineers, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver major projects.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure QC, safety, and compliance across large-scale installations, with the opportunity to influence design standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering or Master of Science from an ABET accredited Structural Engineering program.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration/licensure to support EOR requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or recognized equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis and prepare drawings for water/wastewater plants, industrial facilities.
• Supervise engineers and lead production teams; responsible charge for projects.
• Perform construction-phase duties: site visits, RFIs, submittal reviews.
• Manage design fees, budgets, schedules, and QC requirements.
• Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Lead teams on projects with construction values > $200M.
• Develop and update engineering standards and provide guidance.
