Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Senior Registered Structural Engineer focused on industrial water projects. The role emphasizes design of structures for water purification facilities, leading design teams, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver critical infrastructure.

This position supports a broad portfolio including data centers and power sectors, with emphasis on safety, quality, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex structural analysis and prepare sketches and drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities, and other complex structures.
• Supervise Structural Engineers and Technicians, lead larger production teams and act as responsible charge for projects.
• Perform construction phase engineering duties including site visits, responding to RFIs, and review of contractor submittals.
• Manage project changes, monitor progress against budget and schedule, and ensure Quality Control requirements are met.
• Coordinate work with architects and other discipline engineers.
• Lead teams to execute complex projects with construction values greater than $200M.
