Black & Veatch’s Senior Structural Engineer - Water is an experienced role focused on designing structures for water purification and treatment facilities. You will lead with your design experience and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver critical water infrastructure projects to communities.

The position supports projects across markets and requires supervising engineers, performing complex analyses, and guiding teams on projects exceeding $200M, while ensuring quality through BV

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 11+ years of related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record requirements.
• Experience leading teams on complex projects and providing technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Structural Engineers and lead production teams.
• Execute complex structural analysis for water/wastewater facilities and related structures.
• Perform construction-phase duties including site visits and RFIs.
• Manage design budgets, schedules, and quality control per BV standards.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
• Lead teams on projects with construction values > $200M.
• Provide engineering standards guidance and develop/update standards.
