Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a skilled structural design engineer to lead design, analysis, and testing of primary and secondary structures for aerospace hardware. You will develop CAD models, perform FEA, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure safe, reliable spaceflight components.

The role requires hands-on experience with Creo, Windchill, and industry-standard tools, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures.
• Create CAD models, detail part drawings, assemblies, installations, and interface control documents.
• Balance customer solutions with documented, repeatable processes.
• Lead root cause analyses for design and manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers for aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

• Execute research, configuration development, and trade studies to meet performance, schedule, and cost targets.
• Review technical work of team members to identify design improvements and ensure quality before release.
• Respond to customer-driven schedules and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Maintain visual project status indicators for team transparency.
