Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to perform substantial analysis and design as part of a design team. You will work with the Structural Lead and other disciplines to develop concepts and deliver construction documents.
The role may involve leading small projects or acting as Sub-Lead on larger efforts. Strong knowledge of US codes, seismic provisions, and effective communication are required; hybrid/remote work may be available within the USA Southeast region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design under general supervision.
- Lead a team of engineers and designers on assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance with seismic provisions and applicable codes.
- Develop design concepts and construction drawings; communicate requirements to the model.
- Provide mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
