Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team in the USA Southwest region. You will perform substantial structural analysis and design, collaborate with the lead engineers, and help develop design concepts for projects spanning semiconductor to industrial facilities.

You will communicate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, mentor junior staff, and drive timely, high-quality deliverables while growing within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• PE license (PE/PEng).
• Minimum 4 years in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC.
• Experience with structural analysis software; Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Plan and conduct work using engineering judgment and established criteria.
• Check own work and seek guidance when needed.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers/drafters.
• Manage workload and meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Identify scope changes and communicate with the Structural Lead.
