Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Structural Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead structural analysis and design across buildings, bridges, and facilities, using ETABS, SAP2000 and Revit Structure, coordinating with distributed project teams.

You hold a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and 7+ years of experience. You’ll manage projects independently in a virtual setting, ensuring code compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
• Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure or similar.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers in a remote setting.
• Perform design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards (SANS, Eurocodes).
