Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA preferred (Pr. Eng. or C.E.ng.).
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in structural design.
• Proficiency in structural software such as Revit Structure, ETABS, SAP2000.
• Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, timber design principles.
• Understanding of SA building codes and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other civil infrastructure.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, reinforcing schedules, and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and other disciplines in a virtual setting.
• Ensure compliance with South African standards and codes.
• Conduct peer reviews of designs and provide remote technical support during construction.
• Manage design timelines and contribute to project planning remotely.
• Stay updated on materials, technologies, and design methodologies.
• Prepare design reports and present findings via virtual platforms.
