Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior/Lead Structural Engineer to join our Power team. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States. This is a vacant position for which we are actively recruiting.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. We require 10+ years in structural engineering, a California PE license, and experience with heavy industrial structures, substations, and transmission lines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience in steel and foundation design for high voltage substations and power projects.
• Licensed PE in California required.
• Experience with transmission structures and 115 kV lines.
• Proficiency with design software and software for structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of engineers and specialists in the Power sector.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, PMs, vendors, and clients for design and construction.
• Maintain project timelines and progress tracking.
• Prepare and verify design drawings and calculations.
• Manage procurement activities and supplier bids.
• Monitor schedules and budgets; report status regularly.
