Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Denver, CO seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design for power delivery, pipelines and industrial facilities from concept to construction. You will adapt structural plans to meet budget and client needs, review drawings, and apply structural codes across multiple CAD platforms.

Requirements include ABET-accredited degree, 7+ years of structural engineering experience (PE preferred), and strong skills in AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required or equivalent.
• 7 years structural engineering experience required.
• PE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for projects (substations, pipelines, industrial facilities).
• Design structural components to meet project needs as set by project managers.
• Apply knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Research and compile project data, write specifications.
• Update drawings across CAD applications.
• Support client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections and measurements.
