Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design teams on power, process, healthcare and industrial facilities in the US West region. You will guide projects from concept to construction, interface with clients and discipline teams, and ensure schedules, budgets and quality requirements are met.

The role requires a PE or FE-equivalent path, ABET accreditation, and 7+ years of structural experience with strong code knowledge (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7). Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in structural engineering or related field.
• 7 years structural engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7; proficient in CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Prepare structural equipment specifications and data sheets; RFQs and bid summaries.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients and other disciplines.
