Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design from concept through design completion across power delivery, pipelines, and industrial facilities. The role requires ABET-accredited degrees and EPC project experience, with field inspections and drawings updates across CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for projects including electrical substations, pipeline metering and regulating stations, and industrial facilities.
• Design structural components to meet project needs as set forth by project managers.
• Apply knowledge of standard engineering techniques, codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7) and procedures.
• Research and compile project data, write specifications, and compile studies/reports.
• Update drawings across CAD platforms to verify corrections.
• Assist with client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration for power delivery, pipelines and industrial facilities.
• Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.
• All other duties as assigned.
