Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design teams for power, process, healthcare, aviation and industrial facilities. You will drive design from concept through construction, mentor junior staff and ensure quality across CAD outputs and field coordination.

The role requires ABET-accredited degrees, FE/PE credentials preferred, strong communication, and willingness to travel up to 25% across client sites.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree and 7+ years experience in structural engineering with EPC projects.
• FE exam with 7+ years experience and EPC project experience preferred.
• Master’s degree with 6+ years experience and EPC project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from concept to design completion across diverse projects.
• Prepare equipment specs, RFQs, bid summaries and purchase recommendations.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients and other disciplines.
• Develop project schedules, scope, budgets, staffing and construction planning.
