Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer (PE or Senior EIT) for a hybrid USA role. The candidate will lead structural design across sectors, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines. Travel may be required for project work and client visits within the United States.

The role emphasizes growth into senior technical or project leadership, with opportunity to work on diverse projects and use a wide range of materials.

Qualifications

• 6 or more years of relevant structural engineering project experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or Senior EIT candidate looking to sit for PE exam in 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and initiative.
• Excellent working knowledge of USA National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software including RISA, ETABS, BIM tools, Revit, AutoCAD.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
• Perform technical work with an increased level of complexity with senior review.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines, staff, clients and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle with clear communication.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Exercise judgment on details of work and select engineering solutions.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including field reports, RFIs and submittal reviews.
• Travel as needed for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits.
