Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Staff Structural Engineer (PE or Senior EIT) to join our hybrid USA team. You will lead structural design efforts across sectors, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality projects.

The role offers growth into senior technical or project leadership, travel for project work, and opportunities to work with diverse materials and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant structural engineering project experience.
• PE license or Senior EIT candidate looking to write their PE exam in the next 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and initiative.
• Excellent working knowledge of USA National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Strong technical software skills: RISA, ETABS, BIM tools, Revit, AutoCAD.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
• Perform technical work with an increased level of complexity with senior review.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, staff, client, and subcontractors; maintain clear oral and written communication.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Exercise judgment on details of work and engineering alternatives.
• Perform Construction Administration duties (RFIs, submittals, field reports).
• Travel for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits.
