Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Staff Structural Engineer (PE or Senior EIT) for a hybrid role in the USA. The candidate will lead structural design across sectors, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements include 6+ years of experience, a PE license or candidacy to sit for PE within six months, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of IBC/ACI/AISC. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant structural engineering project experience.
• PE license or Senior EIT candidate planning to take exam within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, initiative and critical thinking.
• Excellent knowledge of USA National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Proficient in structural software: RISA, ETABS, BIM tools, Revit, AutoCAD.
• Strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead project components and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design solutions across sectors.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform construction administration duties and field observations.
• Coordinate with EOR, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle.
